Dr. Barry Meinster

Having spent over 50 years in K-12 education, higher education, educational administration, authoring textbooks, and IT consulting/training, digital marketing, conducting focus groups across the country; Dr. Meinster brings an enormous amount teaching techniques along with an immense breadth of technical knowledge and managerial skills to higher educational marketing.

Administration

Program Administrator, Temple University Center for Advance Technology (TUCAT), Higher Education IT. Created and managed a 450,000 program budget. Conducted and coordinated operations planning. Hired and supervised instructors. Managed the development, delivery and logistics of technical training initiatives, conducted technical training needs analyses and performance, managed training vendor relationships and contracts. Duties also included P&L management. Reported to the Vice President of Temple University, Provost and attended regular meetings to discuss the progress and future of this program, 1997 – 2003

Delaware Valley College, Conducted observations using PA form PDE 430 to evaluate and recommend new teachers for receiving the Pennsylvania Instructional I Certification after having an Emergency Certification. Mentored and evaluated the use of cognitive learning methods and K-12 best practices in the classroom. The position also includes meeting with principals and faculty to discuss school improvement using recent change theories, 2005 – 2009.

Kaplan University Master’s Degree in Education: Instructor for Education Technology Courses and Curriculum Design courses. Courses include proper skills and concepts for implementing technology at the classroom and individual school levels. Consideration is given to learning theory and best practices within K12 subject areas. 2004 – 2008.

Walden University Education PhD Leadership Program: Instructor for Technology and Educational Leadership courses. The course is designed for principals and other administrator and includes how to prepare comprehensive technology plans (CPT) for school districts. The course includes instructional and administrative uses of technology including the use of School Infrastructure Framework (SIF) compliant systems to address NCLB considerations. 2004 – 2008.

Beaver College Computers in Education. Master’s in Educational Technology Program. Designed and taught technology courses for teachers and educators including how to integrate technology and workforce readiness skills into the classroom, 1998 – 2000.

Holy Family College. Master’s in Education Program. Implemented new technology courses for teachers including uses of software productivity tools such as spreadsheets, word processors, and authoring software, 1996 – 1999.

Part-Time: Corporate Consulting and Training  (highlights)

Course Global LLC – Instructor for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 including BI and data modeling; instructor for Vmware infrastructure 3, ESX Server 3.0 including VirtualCenter 2.0, 2006 -2007.

Written several OPM programs and courses for Post University in Connecticut.

CEC Corporation: Authored courses for Master Degree Online programs. Courses included Differentiated Classroom Approaches for K12, Decision Making in Curriculum Development, and Educational Leadership: Educational Planning and Development, 2004-2006.

Designed and authored eLearning curriculum for Pricewaterhouse/Coopers, topics include the business aspects of the networking industry, network technology and networking equipment. 2002 – Present.

Independent Contract: Trained end users and DBAs to use Oracle 11i – E-business Suite including CRM and ERP modules, 2004 – 2005.

CTO and of Airnexus, designed and deployed secure wireless applications for universities, hot spots, and the enterprise; maintained several collaborative ventures with partners, including other systems integrators, vendors, enterprises, and municipalities. 2002 – 2004.

IT Trainer for Decisive Business Group. Performed needs analysis for determining overall company training objectives. Designed and delivered accelerated MCSE 2000 and Exchange Server 2000 training for 10 technicians. 2001 – 2002.

IT Trainer for Towers Perin. Performed needs analysis for determining overall company training objectives. Designed and delivered accelerated MCSE 2000 training for 14 technicians and help desk employees,. 2001 – 2003.

IT Trainer for Subaru of America. Designing and delivering relational database training (SQL and Oracle 8i) for Oracle DBA, Powerbuilder, and system analysis teams, where all staff are engaged with Unisys teams at Eagan, Minnesota, Summer 2001 – 2003.

Expert Witness for Howard Trubman, Esq and the complaint-ifs in the Pennsylvania class action suit against Computer Learning Center (CLC), I helped shut them down in Philadelphia, Spring 2001.

Developed Cisco CCNP curriculum and trained instructors to deliver the same courses at Camden County Community College, Summer 2000.

Designed enterprise network and trained technicians to perform large-scale rollout of Windows NT 4,0 Workstation at First Union Bank, 1998.

Designed and implemented Windows NT 4.0 Domains including the deployment of 250 workstations for Temple University, 1999.

Project manager for a SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research), managed a collaborative project with University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center that produced a multimedia assessment tool for psychological – social related problems as related to cancer patients, 1994.

Project manager for a SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research), managed a collaborative project with Siemens Corporation to produce a multimedia module for training medical professionals in the use of the Mini-Med infusion pump, 1994.

Volunteer Work
Developed neighborhood youth and senior citizen programs within the Southwark Plaza Housing Project at 5th  Street and Washington Ave, Philadelphia.

Developed joint programs with local Churches and the Afro – American Muslim organization; Blight Arrest Pioneer Patrol (BAPP), this  included extensive programs involving community policing and minimizing recidivism among project youth. These experiences and memoirs were published; “Maestro Please; 2019”.
